Exit interviews


Many experiences indicate that employees leaving services of the organization are often hesitant to articulate their experiences during exit interviews. On many occasions, exit interviews are not accorded the primacy needed, and the lack of emphasis limits the quality of information gathered or the effective utilization of such information.

At Sector Access we believe that a person wishing to leave the organization is often best placed to provide invaluable information to help the organization take corrective measures on many of the reasons leading to attrition.

Sector Access provides Exit Interview solutions to respond to this need. Our services include design and development of exit interview formats, on-line and face-to-face discussions, analysis and reporting. The analysis and reporting solutions are provided on each interview and also on a periodic basis. The analysis framework includes:

  • identifying recurrent reasons as core concern areas
  • isolating pain points that can be recognized and addressed, by identifying symptoms of employee disengagement
  • isolating pain points that cannot be addressed
  • identifying look-out aspects in context of recruitment screening

Transition support


Pink-slips are no longer a rarity in India. Increased competition, narrowing business cycles, rapidly evolving market dynamics, increasing current and opportunity costs, indifferent decisions, availability of a large talent pool are some of the many factors contributing to premature conclusion of employee contracts. Down-sizing, restructuring, lay-offs, exit bonuses, have emerged as common place terms in today’s business environment. However, among a large section of employees and employers, premature conclusion of an employment contract raises a gamut of concerns. Employees are often unable to appreciate the perspective of the employer organization and tend to respond emotionally to the situation in place of a rational evaluation supported by an appreciation of reasons for the employer action and appreciation of compensation support provided by employers. Similarly, among employers concerned managers are often uncomfortable in conveying such decisions and the exit process is often not managed well.
